Write for us
Genuine World Dispatch welcomes thoughtful pitches about how words, stories, objects and practices travel between places and change along the way. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear, focused ideas with a specific subject and a meaningful route to follow: a borrowed term, a story in translation, an object with changing uses or a practice adapted in a new setting. Pitches should offer context without treating a whole culture as a single viewpoint.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working idea, why it suits Genuine World Dispatch and what readers will understand by the end. Name the material or context the piece would draw on, explain any limits or uncertainties, and say what makes the angle distinct from a general overview. Concision and a clear point of view help.
How to send a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your proposal. Include enough detail to assess the idea, but do not send confidential material or claim access that has not been agreed. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
